Awesome border crossing for cyclists/hikers! Super friendly border guards - they made us coffee and are excited about our “visit”. Open even when it’s closed for cars (check government website to see if entrada is open). Border guards will communicate to Chilean post who is coming so make sure to tell them if you plan on camping in between border posts (they’ll start looking for you if they think you got lost).

We crossed it!!! on the 20 November 2023 from Chile to Argentina in a LandCruiser 75 with 35s and lift kit, winch and other extras. Track is very hard to follow and some rivers are hood deep.

Very friendly guys who invited me for lunch and coffee, but the men are rotated every 30 days so you never know. The crossing is a lot of fun on a bicycle, pretty easy as long as you have a GPX to follow. Took me around 3 hours.
