Drove it today, the street was completely dry and easy doable for any kind of vehicle. As of the intersection of Ruta 41 the street became a good gravel road as there is a lot of timber industry going on. The first part (when leaving Ibera) is definitely a different story when wet.

Completed from Colonia CP to RN14 by motorcycle. No rain for at least 3 days. Between 16-26km from CCP road is firm on one carriageway only, the other was deeply rutted and looked soft. As mentioned previously, after the turning for the 41 the road has some deep sand for about 5km. After 90km there are 2 sections with deep bull dust. The road is heavily rutted. Other than that it is a good road and passable on 2 or 4 wheels.

We went two days after slight rain and could pass but only with some struggles and getting stuck once with our 4x4 hilux. Locals told us the road was in ok condition.

We drove it today, after a day full of rain. We wanted the challenge and we got it. Slow going, about 20km/h. But sooo much fun.

We drove this road after a rainy night in our 4x4 camper, but only since a local suggested that it is doable at the moment and he suggested that we will drive it an hour after us and therefore could help when we get stuck.

we took the route in our truck camper a few days after some rain. we asked in town whether it's passable and got opposite opinions. It seems that if it hasn't rained for 3-4 days the route is dry enough to drive on. We stayed in RWD and never needed to engage the 4x4 but there were definitely some sketchy sections.

We passed yesterday night with a light 2WD mobile home (rear traction) from Pellegrini to Galarza. It was absolutely dry. Most of the road was quite ok. However there are several quite deep sand passages (30 cm+). The worst was after RT 41 splits from RT 40 One small driving mistake to get stuck. I don't think we would have passed with front traction only or with a little bit of humidity.

We decided to go have a look with the understanding the road could be bad and we would turn around. Thought it would be useful to know it’s still quite bad along here. A local stopped us and said it’s quite deep in parts and gets worse from around this pin. Probably dry season ok, but I think it would still be bad even if it hasn’t rained for a couple of days.

It did not rain since several days. past without a 4x4 (a Peaugeot Boxer) but they were several difficult parts on the road (presence of ruts).... and no signal. We met a moto that could not pass because at some point you need to carrefully stay only on the highest point of the ruts..

This warning is only valid during heavy rain or that it has rained very heavy e.g. the night before. If you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle, please take a D-tour. The chances that you will slip and get stuck are very high. There are other vehicles once in a while that might be able to help. However, the chances that you get stuck again are high and help is not guaranteed + there is no cell reception.
